Dance demonstration against ban on sex work

Sex workers from Berlin are holding a dance demo at the Red Town Hall on May 4, 2024 with the title WE ARE SEXWORKERS.

Background:
Unfortunately, the socio-political debates around the topics: “Ban on buying sex, Nordic model or punishment for johns” do not stop in Germany. Exactly the opposite: opponents of prostitution are increasingly trying to keep this issue under discussion in the media and also anchor it in the political parties. This increasingly serious threat to our industry calls on us to act and get involved. We are therefore planning a large stationary demonstration at the Red Town Hall in Berlin for Saturday, May 4th, 2024, from 2 p.m. to highlight the dangers of the ban on buying sex for our industry in society note:

We want to clarify. We want to be seen. We are SELF-DETERMINED sex workers and there are many of us. We are whores, tantriks, body workers, escorts, BDSM people, strippers, riggers and so much more. The impending introduction of the ban on purchasing sex in Germany is depriving us of our existence.

The electronic music, party and club community in Berlin supports us in standing up for our rights.

Goals:
– increase the public visibility of self-determined sex workers
– educate about sex work and the Nordic Model
– unite and show the different colors of sex work

The impending ban on purchasing sex concerns not only us sex workers, but everyone. It’s an attack on a world with free hedonism and the club scene can also take notice. As you are probably also aware, a ban on buying sex would be tantamount to a ban on our profession, which would mean the end for all of us. And we want to prevent that!
