beginner meet & greet

Beginners meet & greet

The beginners meet & greet always happens on the first Thursday of each month.Start time is 07.00 pm at the Sonntags-Club. Exact dates can be found in the calendar.The Sonntags-Club is located at: Greifenhagener Str. 28 (map) and can be reached by S- or U-bahn (exit: Schönhauser Allee).

ATTENTION, danger of confusion: right accross from the "Sontags-Club" is a cafe called "Sonntags nie". If you are looking there, you wont find us.

Who is this meet & greet for?
This is for everyone that has just developed an interest in the lifestyle or people who have been practicing in their own private homes. If you do not belong to either one of these groups, you might be wrong here and might enjoy yourself better at one of the other munches. You are only eligible to attend if you are of age. If you have questions about this, you can find answers in the FAQ.

Whats the difference to the Munch?
This group is smaller and has a moderator. Everyone here (except the moderator)is new himself. In a small group its easier to anmswer your questions and address your concerns. The Munch itself is more about making contact and less about answering specific questions as we can adress here. Also is the location for us in a seperate room, so no one will disturb us, while the munch is held publicly in a regular cafe.

How many people are usually there?

It does change each month but often between 5 and 10 people.

How does the beginners meet & greet work?

After a short introductory round, where everyone can say something, but nobody has to, we give some information out. These mainly conearn the topics of: security (dafe words, drugs, dafe sex, doctors, covering), rules (Hor to behave at events, Adds, legal status), media, parties, stores, coming out...

What ever you would like to know, we will do our best to try to cover it. If we cant give you ans ansver ourselve, we will find you somebody to talk to. We also have some information brochures, magazines and books to look at

Afterwards we often sit together and relax with the other people in the Café of the "Sonntags-Clubs".

What we can't and won't do:
The beginners meet and greet is a meeting to look for a parnter. It is there to allow first contact to likeminded folks and to answer the biggest first questions. We will ensure that no one is being come onto (against their will) or asked inapproriate questions. Everything theoretical we can talk about, but we wont allow any demonstrations.

Is there a "Dresscode"?
No.

Are there any cost involved?
No.

Do I have to register?
No, just drop in. Vor everyone that is to shy to drop in by themselves, we also offer the possibility of a pre meeting. Further information are available  in the FAQ

How do I find you guys?

Quite iften there are information or talk circles in the "Sonntags-Club". So if you look lost the staff will guide you over to us.

Is it important to be punctual?
Yes. If you are more than 15 minutes late you won't be allowed entrance and have to wait for the next meeting. If you are late, just head over to the Munch. Over there people come and go as they please.

This "Sonntagsclub" seems to be a nice establishment. But on their website they state that they specifically cater to the Gay-, transvestite-,...crowd. There is nothing there about BDSM.

The main porblem is that there is nothing like this for the BDSM crowd. The "Sonntagsclub" is open, nicely decorated and has a quiet back room. They were happy to have us. I mean, we also dont only cater to heterosexual BDSM interested people, but everyone is welcome. Since our other meetings are held in regular bars and restaurants , we think ther should be something for everyone.
